The event has now established itself in the minds and hearts of ist participants: At the first Pelikan Hub in 2014, approximately 900 enthusiats of fine writing instruments came together, while in 2023 about 5.000 excited fans took part in the worldwide events. At 218 local Hubs in 47 countries, from Seattle to Sydney, Pelikan fans met up and discussed writing and writing instruments on this exceptional day.

The delight provided by this event stems from its essence: it is a meeting organized by fans for fans, all jointly driven by a passion for fine writing.

How may one join the the Pelikan Hubs experience?

To secure your place within this global fellowship, we invite you to register via our dedicated online portal starting June 25th, 2026. The Pelikan Hubs welcome all who wish to immerse themselves in this celebration, within the exclusive limit of 10,000 participants worldwide.

For the 2026 edition, the official registration period concludes on August 7th. Following this, a 'grace period' will be observed from August 7th to August 14th, during which enthusiasts may join our waiting list for any potential vacancies.

Once your participation is confirmed, all essential details will be delivered directly to your provided email address.

Should you feel called to a deeper involvement, you may apply to become a "Hub Master" during your registration. Further insights into this esteemed role can be found in the following sections of this FAQ.

Where will the Pelikan Hubs take place?

The location of each Hub is uniquely chosen by our Hub Masters—the dedicated Pelikan enthusiasts who volunteer to orchestrate the event in their respective cities.

Once the Pelikan team has finalized the selection of Hub Masters for each participating location, these hosts take the lead. Your local Hub Master will then contact all registered participants in their circle to reveal the specific coordinates and venue chosen for the evening.

Whether it is a restaurant, a gallery, or a dedicated event space, the choice of venue is at the heart of the Hub Master’s creative vision for the night.

How is a city officially recognized as a Pelikan Hub?

As we harmonize our global community, we collect city proposals during registration. Once a shared desire is expressed by at least five participants for the same location, we shall officially confirm that city as a Pelikan Hub. Should several proposals emerge within a very close proximity, we shall curate the selection by designating the city with the highest engagement or the greatest density of enthusiasts, ensuring a vibrant and central gathering for all.

Will the global list of Pelikan Hubs be shared with the community?

The 2026 Pelikan Hubs will be progressively unveiled on our interactive world map. We invite you to visit the Pelikan Passion website or our registration portal to watch as new destinations appear across the globe. Each confirmed city is a tribute to our community's shared passion!

By registering for this global journey, all participants agree to capture and share the magic of the evening. In accordance with our terms of participation, you may be photographed or filmed by your Hub Master or a designated person during the event.

These visual memories may be featured across Pelikan’s official communication channels—including our social media, websites, and printed publications—to celebrate the spirit of our community.

Should you prefer not to appear in these shared moments, we kindly invite you to inform your local Hub Master directly during the event so that your privacy may be fully respected.

Does the experience continue after the night ends? / Does a special gift await the participants?

As an orchestrator, the Hub Master carries the spirit of the event by taking full responsibility for its local success—from the thoughtful selection of the venue to the hosting of the gathering and the distribution of official Pelikan gifts.

Who can become a Hub Master?

The role of Hub Master is open to any dedicated enthusiast—from long-time collectors to active members of the writing community—who wishes to turn their passion into a shared experience. We look for natural ambassadors with a generous spirit and the organizational flair to unite people and bring our 188-year heritage to life.

Specialty retailers are also welcome to apply and host the evening in their store. However, please keep in mind that a Pelikan Hub is a celebration of community and passion; it is not intended to be a sales event. If you have the heart to coordinate, inspire, and act as the local face of Pelikan for one night, you are the perfect candidate.

How to apply to become a Hub Master?

To apply, simply fill out the qualitative questionnaire during your online registration on our dedicated page. This is your chance to share your personal journey, your connection to Pelikan, and your creative vision for the event.

These few sentences about your motivation are essential to help us select the most inspired ambassadors. If you have the heart to lead your local community, submit your candidacy directly when you register.

How are Hub Masters selected?

Once the registration period closes, members of the Pelikan Team convene as a jury to carefully review all applications.

The selection process follows two scenarios: if only one candidate applies for a specific city, they are selected by default. However, if multiple candidates apply for the same city, the jury evaluates the qualitative questionnaires to select the most committed and convincing profile—the one whose vision best aligns with the spirit of the Pelikan Hubs.

Please note that a Hub can only be confirmed if a city gathers a minimum of 5 participants. Consequently, a Hub Master’s application cannot be validated if their city does not reach this required threshold. Once the jury has completed its review and the participation numbers are confirmed, all candidates will be personally informed of the decision and their selection via email.

What are the tasks of the Hub Master?

The Hub Master is the orchestrator of the event, ensuring a smooth and memorable experience for all local participants. Their journey involves a few key responsibilities:

Venue Selection & Coordination: The Hub Master finds a suitable, central location—such as a café, restaurant, or event space (non-religious establishments only). Depending on the group size, they are responsible for booking a dedicated table, a private area, or the entire venue to ensure a comfortable gathering.

Communication: Once the venue is confirmed, they act as the primary contact, sharing the location details and answering any local questions from their group.

Hosting the Event: On the night of the Hub, the Master welcomes the guests and sets the stage. To ensure a seamless evening, Pelikan provides each Hub Master with a comprehensive animation guide to help orchestrate the flow of the event.

Leading the Activities: The Hub Master distributes the official Pelikan gift bags, which will have been shipped to them in advance by the Pelikan team. They also lead the evening's highlights according to their own vision—whether through informal discussions, writing workshops, creative games, or even a dance break.

Capturing the Moment: To conclude, the Hub Master invites everyone to sign a collective poster, organizes a group photo, and encourages the community to share the magic online using #PelikanHubs2026 and tagging @pelikan_passion on social media.

To summarize, what is the Hub Master timeline for 2026?

To help you plan your journey as an ambassador, here are the key dates for this year’s selection process:

- June 25, 2026: Online registrations and Hub Master applications officially open.

- July 12, 2026: Hub Master application deadline. Any applications received after this date will be placed on a waiting list to cover potential withdrawals or cities without an assigned leader.

- Week of July 20, 2026: The Pelikan jury convenes to review applications and select the 2026 Hub Masters.

- Week of July 27, 2026: Selection results are sent via email. Confirmed Hubs for the 2026 edition begin to be announced on our official platform.

- First two weeks of August: Additional applications are reviewed to fill any remaining gaps, and a final call for candidates may be launched for cities still lacking a Hub Master.

- August 17, 2026: Final closing of the registration process and publication of the official global list.

How will the Hub Master receive the participants' details?

Once your role as Hub Master is officially confirmed, the Pelikan team will provide you with the complete list of participants for your city. This list will include their contact details, allowing you to reach out directly to your group, share location information, and coordinate all the details for the evening.

Are Hub Masters rewarded for their commitment?

Yes, we deeply value the dedication of our Hub Masters. To thank you for your investment in our brand and community, each Hub Master will receive exclusive gifts and special goodies as a token of our appreciation.
